Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data this website (moiras.dev) processes, why, and what your rights are. It is written to meet the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Messages you send with the contact form

When you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are stored so that I can read and answer them. To stop automated spam, a one-way hash of your IP address is stored with the message; the address itself is not stored.

• Purpose: replying to your message.
• Legal basis: your consent and my legitimate interest in answering questions sent to me (GDPR article 6(1)(a) and (f)).
• How long: until the conversation is finished, and at most two years. You can ask me to delete your message at any time.

Server logs

Like every website, the server that hosts moiras.dev receives technical data with each visit, such as your IP address, the page you open, the time and your browser type. The hosting provider uses this to deliver the website and keep it secure, and deletes it after a short period. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working, secure website (article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and storage

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not load fonts, scripts or images from other companies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to the server. This website does not place any cookies on your device.

Who else receives data

The website and its database are hosted by a hosting provider that processes the data above on my behalf, under a data processing agreement. Your data is never sold or shared for marketing. Links to LinkedIn and GitHub take you to those websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, to limit or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Send your request through the contact details above; I will answer within one month. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
